These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Built Float platform ("the Platform"), a digital invoice discounting service operated by Built Float ("we", "us", or "our") that enables businesses in Ghana to access working capital by financing their outstanding invoices. By registering an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be a legally registered business operating in Ghana to use the Platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that your business is duly incorporated and authorised to conduct its operations, and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
Built Float provides a marketplace and technology layer that allows suppliers to submit invoices for financing, receive advances against approved invoices, and manage repayments. We facilitate the verification of invoices and buyers, risk assessment, disbursement of funds, and collection of repayments. We are not a bank and do not take deposits.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You must provide true and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
When you submit an invoice for financing, you confirm that the invoice is genuine, that the goods or services have been delivered, and that the buyer is obligated to pay. We may verify the invoice with the buyer and request supporting documents. We reserve the right to decline any invoice at our discretion.
Financing terms — including the advance rate, financing fee, processing fee, and insurance fee — are assigned based on our risk assessment and may change over time. Where an invoice exceeds your facility limits, you may accept capped financing at the available amount. All fees are disclosed before you accept an offer.
Upon acceptance of an offer, the net disbursement (advance less applicable fees) is paid to your designated settlement account. The financed amount, together with the financing fee, is due for repayment on the maturity date of the invoice. Late repayments may attract additional charges and affect your risk score and future financing eligibility.
Where a dedicated virtual account is assigned to your business, buyers are instructed to pay invoices into that account. Payments received are applied against your outstanding facilities. You must not redirect buyers to pay into any other account without our written consent.
Where you connect a third-party accounting provider (such as FreshBooks or Wave), you authorise us to retrieve invoice data from that provider to pre-fill submissions and reconcile payment status. You are responsible for ensuring your accounting data is accurate. We are not liable for errors arising from inaccurate data in your accounting software.
You consent to our verification of your identity and business credentials, including Ghana Card and TIN verification with the Ghana Revenue Authority, and credit reference checks. You agree to provide all documents reasonably requested for compliance with applicable laws.
We treat your business information and invoice data as confidential and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You consent to the collection, use, and sharing of information as described in that policy.
You agree not to submit fraudulent or duplicate invoices, misrepresent your business or buyer relationships, tamper with the Platform, or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose. Breach of this clause may result in immediate suspension and legal action.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you breach these Terms, if your account becomes inactive, or where required to comply with legal obligations. You may close your account at any time, subject to settling all outstanding facilities.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Built Float shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you, and continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
